Colossi of Memnon

The everlasting seated statues of the Colossi of Memnon of Amenhotep III were formed in 1350 BC and were renovated many times across the Hellenistic period. It has a height of  18 m (60 ft) which shed light on the religious beliefs, family, and achievements of Amenhotep III. It holds107 Roman-era inscriptions in Latin and Greek showcasing the story of the Greek mythological king Memnon carved between AD 20 and 250.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
